Create your NFT.com Profile

NFT.com allows users to create a unique, user-controlled, and customizable social profile called an NFT Profile that is itself an NFT. The Profile Factory is the set of smart contracts which enable minting of unique NFT Profiles by a user.

NFT Profile creation can be done through NFT.com by selecting “Create a Profile”. Users will connect their third-party wallet software to NFT.com. The connected wallet will be used to pay any necessary fees and receive the minted NFT Profile.

Users are able to enter their desired profile names to determine if the profile has been minted already. If it has, but is available for sale, then a user can purchase directly through NFT.com.

If it has not been minted, the user can submit the mint transaction which will be signed from their wallet application to initiate the on-chain creation of the new profile. This transaction will include an associated on-chain gas fee as well as at least one year of licensing for the profile (detailed below).

Users also have the option to mint multiple profiles at a single time in the same transaction assuming each of the profile names is unique.

Once the profile is minted, the holder of that profile can then begin customization including adding a description, profile picture, banner picture, and display of unique NFTs. Users can also associate the profile with multiple addresses or NFT collections. These instructions are outlined below.

Note: While ERC1155 NFTs can be imported and displayed on NFT.com, we do not currently track ownership of these NFTs.
